Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. The Australian Section of Médecins Sans Frontières was established in 1995 and is one of 21 sections, 24 associations and other offices that form the MSF global movement providing oversight and expertise, funding and staff for field operations and communicating on the needs of our patients.
MSF Australia deploys over 100 field staff per year from Australia and New Zealand. The organisation secures an annual revenue of AUD 90 million in untied funds. The Australia section hosts a Medical Unit in Sydney bringing specialised expertise in the field of Women’s health and Paediatrics in support of our operations overseas.
Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the Senior Business Analyst for analytics will support all departments in the implementation for Data and Analytics projects as well as day-to-day system support for existing reporting and analytics applications.
The Senior Business Analyst for engagement systems will be the point of contact for optimising data processes, managing analytics change requests and training needs. The role will also be leading the implementation of all initiatives within the Data Strategy of MSFA that will lead to more data driven decision making and treatment of data as a strategic asset for the organisation.

The senior business analyst is expected to undertake a variety of activities which will include, but not limited to: team leadership, project coordination, workshop facilitation, leading requirements definition, development of user stories, refinement of analysis models and documentation of project artefacts.
The role involves a combination of managing demand for the existing Engagement systems and working on the implementation of the new systems. The mix of business as usual and project work will change as the new system is designed, developed and deployed.
