Livelihood is MDS's new pathway to employment program opening soon in Campbelltown. Empowered by the Jigsaw model, Livelihood is designed to break the cycle so many people with disabilities face – of never gaining entry to the workforce.

At the heart of Livelihood is a thriving document and data management business, providing a range of high-quality commercial services to corporate and government clients. This business enables us to provide a training pathway for people with disabilities to prepare for employment at their own pace and undertake award wage employment before transitioning to open employment.

The Training Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the Academy stage within Livelihood; including managing the Livelihood Academy team and providing strategies to support the effective delivery of the Academy stage of Livelihood. The Training Manager will also be responsible for all administration associated with the Academy stage in the hub. This role will be required to perform other ad hoc duties as required to support the growth of Livelihood.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage end to end delivery of the Livelihood training program in the Campbelltown hub
  • Professionally develop and support Trainer Leads and Trainers (Support workers) with resources, tools and strategies to help Livelihood Trainees achieve their employment goals.
  • Perform administration and reporting duties including rostering an ever-changing casual pool Trainers and assisting any incidents that occur in the Campbelltown hub
  • Ensure the hub is a safe and well-presented place to work this will include supporting with de-escalation of behaviour incidents
  • Ensure the hub operates in line with Livelihood processes, procedures, culture, values, and methodologies.
  • Support with communication to trainees' support networks including families and allied health professionals

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in leading small to medium size teams
  • Experience working in the allied health and disability industry and or a relevant qualification
  • Experience in supporting a variety of complex disability and support needs
  • Drivers Licence and Access to a reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Provide First Aid Qualification (HLTAID011)
  • Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Qualification (HLTAID009)
  • Covid-19 Vaccination

The Position is Permanent Full Time, working 38 hours per week Monday - Friday. This role is covered under the Labour Market Industry Assistance Award - Manager Grade 2, paid above award ($80,000-$85,000 per annum). Also offered is salary packaging, laptop, mobile and leave loading.
