Lifestart is an NDIS Partner in the Community that supports children living with disability or delay, their families and carers. Lifestart provides Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services to children aged 0-6 years in South Eastern Sydney, Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Illawarra Shoalhaven and Central Coast LGAs.

The Role

ECEI Coordinators plays a pivotal role as the first point of contact for children with additional needs and their families entering or transitioning to the NDIS ECEI approach.   

Lifestart’s ECEI Coordinators work in a broad transdisciplinary role, performing a range of functions including:

  • Assessing children aged 0–6 years in their natural environments, providing recommendations for early intervention supports and services using a person-centred approach of what is appropriate for the child’s development and social participation
  • Assist and support families by building their capacity to meet the child’s developmental needs through short term therapy; and access to relevant services for their needs
  • Connect with and provide support to mainstream and specialist services to assist them with inclusive practices for children with additional needs
  • Maintain accurate records, attend planning meetings and prepare reports in accordance with NDIS stipulations

ECEI Coordinators need to be flexible in a regularly changing environment. This is a contracted position to June 2020. Identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply.

You Will Need:

  • University qualification in allied health, social sciences, or early childhood education
  • AHPRA Registration or eligibility (where required)
  • Experience delivering services and support in early intervention or disability services, particularly to young children
  • Knowledge of ECEI Approach, NDIS, individual planning and funding options
  • IT savvy including proficiently navigating MS Office, CRMs and other IT tools as required
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills, and acts with discretion and confidentiality
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle to perform the role

Pre-employment Working with Children clearance and police checks will be conducted.
