We manage 165 tenancies across Brisbane, Bayside, and the Redlands, with significant growth on the horizon.

About the role

Following significant growth, the newly created position of Operations Manager is an exciting time for you to join our values-driven team. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Community Housing Team to ensure the delivery of quality, consistent and efficient tenancy and asset property management services per Jacaranda Housing policies and procedures and budgetary and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations within our tenancy and asset management team.
  • Manage, develop, and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to ensure smooth, streamlined processes.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and guide our dedicated housing team, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including our valued tenants, government agencies, and community partners, to address housing needs and implement sustainable initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards to maintain a safe and secure housing environment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and growth to enhance the quality of our services and meet community needs.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Kind and compassionate.
  • AHI Senior Housing Professional (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field (degree preferred but not essential.)
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the community housing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Initiator, solutions-focused.
  • Sound financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of housing regulations, laws, and best practices in community housing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to social justice, affordable housing, and community development.
