We are currently seeking people who have:

• Previous experience as a disability support worker in the community or in-home setting
• Certificate III or IV in Disability or similar
• An ability to create supportive and professional working partnerships which encourages client independence
• Previous experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern
• Excellent interpersonal skills including working positively with others, problem solving and dealing with conflict
• Ensuring compassionate care to client’s needs
• Previous experience in the following will be highly regarded;
• Showering
• Toileting/Leg Bag
• Catheter Care/Bowel Care
• Meal preparation
• Active and inactive sleepover shifts
• Community Access
• Domestic Assistance
• Own car and valid driver’s licence
• Smart phone and internet access

Positions require a satisfactory Pre-Employment Police Check, DWES Check and Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.

The successful applicants must be willing to undergo further training and development, specific to the clients’ care.
