The Opportunity

Explore your career and personal growth journey as a Dietitian within the community health sector with IPC Health ! With a supportive Senior Clinician and Dietetics team, you will apply your clinical knowledge and evidence based practice to contribute to positive clinical outcomes for the Brimbank community. With a strong focus on promoting and providing evidence based nutritional intervention, you will be implementing and monitoring nutritional and therapeutic diet programs within the identified clinical area, using a patient centred evidence informed practice model of care. Through a high standard of practice in the assessment and treatment of client care, you will support and educate clients, their families and carers to reach their goals. With our newly implemented Innovation Framework, there is opportunity for you to explore your creativity !

This position is a 0.6FTE Part Time Fixed Term (Parental Leave Cover until February 2023) role and is classified as a Grade 1 Dietitian under the Victorian Community Health Sector (Audiologists, Dietitians, Pharmacists & Psychologists) 2018-2021.

You will make a difference by

  • Contributing to positive client outcomes through evidence based practice, working within the social model of health framework.
  • Providing a high level of quality dietetic care and management to the local community.
  • Embedding best practice and an innovative mindset to provide patient centred care.
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to build positive relationships that enhances service delivery and client's needs.

To succeed you will need

  • Bachelor Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in one or more of the following: clinical nutrition, nutrition education, health promotion, nutritional support, paediatrics or rehabilitation.
  • An understanding and commitment to the principles of community health, including working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work as a member of a multi disciplinary team in the delivery of services to the community as well as autonomously.
  • Strong technical skills with ability to adapt to new platforms and client management systems.
  • Current membership with Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) with Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status or working toward APD status.
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence and Working with Children’s Check
