Homelessness NSW

Homelessness NSW is the peak body for the homelessness sector in NSW. We exist to build the capability of people and the capacity of systems to end homelessness. We have a vision for a future where there is enough quality and safe housing and support services to ensure no one is homeless in NSW. We work with our members and broad network of partners to understand drivers of homelessness, advocate for solutions, build skills and knowledge, and scale innovation.

the opportunity

12-month contract role.

This newly created role will be the first point of contact for Specialist Homelessness Services applying for a range of grants. With an eye for detail and a passion for service, you will work collaboratively to coordinate grants by providing administrative support to ensure timely submission and completion.

Key Duties:

  • Create and maintain electronic records
  • Respond to grant enquiries
  • Prepare reports and track financial expenditure
  • Prepare and oversee communications
  • Develop networks to promote grant opportunities in the Homelessness Sector, government departments and other relevant stakeholders.

What you will need to succeed

  • Understanding of grants and related documentation.
  • Experience with reporting, financial analysis, assurance, and reconciliation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS suite and databases.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Effective coordination of complex matters with a high level of attention to detail.

Key training, qualifications, and licences

  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration with subsequent work experience, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • National Police Checks
