Our unique brand rating system and mobile app help shoppers make choices that are better for people, the planet and animals.

Good On You provides users with easy access to empowering information where and when they need it. People use the app to check how their favourite brands rate. Our content and our data-based algorithms help them discover new brands that match their style and values. 

Purpose of this role

We’re looking for a Head of Content and Community to build our community of users through effective content marketing.

Your key responsibility will be to commission, edit and distribute content that creates value for members of the Good On community and draws new and repeat visitors to the Good On You app and website.

This is a unique opportunity to put your mark on a rapidly evolving social business that aims to solve problems for millions of consumers and ethical businesses around the globe.

What you will do

  • Plan, commission and edit content that provides value to the Good On You community
  • Manage distribution of the content including via the Good On You app and Good Edit blog, and via our email newsletter, in app notifications and external syndication
  • Support and manage paid, guest and volunteer content creators
  • Analyse data to assess the effectiveness of the content strategy

About you

You will be great for this role if you have a passion and knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion, superb editing and organisational skills and a data driven approach to community growth. In particular you:

  • have a strong commitment to creating positive change by promoting ethical consumption
  • can oversee the creation of quality content with an unrelenting focus on providing value to users
  • have experience working as a digital content creator, editor and/or marketing manager
  • can systematically collect and interpret data to inform content marketing decisions
  • are user focussed, data driven and adaptable
  • can use your great interpersonal skills to inspire, support and coordinate guest writers, interns and volunteers
  • are excited by the idea you can bring your ‘whatever it takes’ startup mindset to supercharge a global digital business helping to solve some of the world’s most important social and environmental problems

Good On You is an independent social impact business founded by non profit organisation Ethical Consumers Australia. Our vision is a world where consumers choices drive businesses to be sustainable and fair. The Good On You app makes it easy for people to make consumer choices that match their values.

Currently focused on fashion and clothing, Good On You rates more than 1,300 clothing, footwear, and accessory labels based on the ethics behind their production process. Cosmetics and personal care brands will be added soon.

The Good On You app for iPhone and Android is used by 100,000 people in Australia, New Zealand and North America.

When people use Good On You to make better shopping choices they send a message to fashion brands that they need to improve working conditions and reduce their negative impact on the environment and animals.
