Farm Transparency Project (FTP), formerly Aussie Farms, is a non-profit animal protection charity, dedicated to ending commercialised animal abuse and exploitation in Australian animal-use facilities by increasing industry transparency and educating the public about modern farming and slaughtering practices.
Established as Aussie Farms in 2014 with the release of world-first footage of the carbon dioxide gas chambers used in pig slaughterhouses, we’ve since produced two well-known documentaries – Lucent (2014) and Dominion (2018) – and have made national and international headlines with the release of our Farm Transparency Map and coordinated actions across the country for the Dominion anniversary.
When you join FTP, you join a team of diverse and passionate people who are driven by compassion for animals and commitment to a set of core values emphasising kindness and decency.
Our small close-knit team who are based in South Melbourne work hard, but still manage to foster a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Our team is expanding, and the support of our work is growing, with 2021 set to be our biggest year yet – it’s an exciting time to join us!
FTP will be right for you if you:
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to boost social media engagement and the reach and effectiveness of FTP campaigns by producing visual media.
The role is part-time, 3 days/24 hours per week (0.6 FTE). The pro-rata annual salary for this role is $30,000 + superannuation.
This will be an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity for extension.
While our preference is for a locally-based person, we are open to considering remotely-based applicants.
FTP is an equal opportunity employer, and we will consider all qualified candidates for employment. We value and embrace diversity within our organisation. We actively encourage and welcome applications from people with culturally diverse backgrounds and identities, candidates with a disability, Indigenous candidates and LGBTIQ+ people, to name a few.
A position description is attached.
