The MyTime facilitated peer support program is an Australian government initiative funded by the Department of Social Services . MyTime aims to support families that are caring for a child with a disability or chronic medical condition (0-18 years) by providing group sessions that promotes peer support and information sharing.

This MyTime group has proven a vital link and support for parents who experience isolation and difficulty accessing services. Each group is 2 hours, the remaining time used for organisation and group preparation. Usually different topics are discussed each week and some excursions can also take place.

You will have access to Extended Families resources to assist in the role.

Hours of employment: Casual – 4 hours per week for 8 weeks per school term (i.e. 32 weeks per year). The group currently runs on Monday mornings.

NOTE: This position could be combined with our new Vươn lên Group Facilitator (South – Youth Peer Group). If the two positions were worked together, the combined hours would be 20 hours a fortnight. Refer to the other advertisement for more information.
