A little about the role

Our ECIS Team is growing and we have a number of new roles where you will be providing client-centred, strengths-based services to young children with a disability or developmental delay. We value the importance of a transdisciplinary model of practice. You will work with NDIS funded children and their families to support them through their journey during early childhood. As a part of a collaborative and dynamic team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high quality, evidence based Early Childhood Intervention and Developmental Educator service that is co-designed with the family. This will meet the needs of the children and families in a manner which respects the rights and confidentiality of the child and their family.
  • Embracing innovation and responsiveness.
  • Using the Key Worker model in partnership and collaboration with all those associated with the child/family to provide timely and developmentally appropriate services.

About you

You will either have experience or a keen interest as a Developmental Educator with evidence of successful team development and growth. 

Essential:

  • A Bachelor or Masters level qualification in Disability Studies from a recognised university 
  • Current full Developmental Educators Australia Incorporated (DEAI) registration 
  • Ability to work with young children 
  • A passion for supporting children and families
  • The ability to form a good working relationship with your colleagues, young children and their families  

Desirable: 

  • Well-developed clinical skills as a Developmental Educator
  • Awareness of the Key Worker model and transdisciplinary practice
  • Understanding of family centred practice and strengths-based approach
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering services under the NDIS

Mandatory

  • COVID-19 Vaccinated
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Criminal History check
  • Unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Experience and ability to drive DPV Health Buses (11-seater)
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • Right to work in Australia
