About the role:

C&K Kingston Community Kindergarten are currently seeking an educator who is experienced and qualified to join their Team of educators in 2021.

We are looking for an Assistant educator who is open, engaging and able to contribute to a safe and inclusive multicultural Kindergarten.

The successful educator will pride themselves on their passion and dedication for early education within the learning environment. We are looking for someone with exceptional skills to build relationships with families and children and who is dedicated to furthering their own learning as an early childhood professional.

We are looking for someone who can relate, connect, and can be patient and flexible.

The Centre aims to provide a safe, friendly, respectful, caring environment that caters for the needs, interests and uniqueness of children, family, staff, and the wider community.

This position is working a Fixed term contract till 10th December 2021. You will be working part time 8.5 hours each Thursday and Friday every week. This role will see you commencing ion the 22nd April 2021.

Ideal applicants will have:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
• Current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
• Previous experience working with the 3-5 age group in a Kindergarten setting desirable
• Ability to speak/understand any of the following languages would be an advantage; Burmese, Farsi, Swahili, Tigrinya or Karenni.
• Understanding of your duties as an Assistant educator and be a team player
• Passion for creating and delivering a simulating inclusive learning environment
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Awareness of the National Quality Framework and Queensland Kindergarten guidelines
• Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories.
• An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Teacher ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
