About the role
- Coordinate the day to day tasks associated with the operation of uni 2 beyond, with support and guidance
- Promotion and recruitment of students and provide ongoing transition support in to the Program and University life
- Support students’ goal settings and to participate and contribute to a variety of learning and campus activities, events, clubs etc with their peers to benefit from all aspects of university life
- Recruit, train and support mentors, including rostering, managing mentor volunteers and facilitating relationships with students
- Liaising and providing support to university staff, in particular lecturing staff to support student learning and engagement
- Organise and monitor student NDIS Service Agreements; monitor and maintain NDIS compliance; organise appropriate invoicing and maintain accurate records
- Maintain uni 2 beyond social media pages and information on CDS website and promote inclusive practices of the university
- Working collaboratively with faculty professional staff and key stakeholders to support implementation of the University’s diversity, inclusion and equity plan
- Organise and contribute to grant and funding proposal as well as coordinate fundraising events
- This role is offered as a full-time, 12 month parental leave replacement
- The role is on-site as the Program Coordinator needs to be on campus to support students. WFH days can be negotiated depending on the needs of the program.
Essential criteria
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Health, Social Science/Disability or equivalent
- Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check, or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in working and supporting people with intellectual disability
- Experience working in community development and/or inclusion
- Experience with project management and coordination
- Experience of the higher education sector
