Disability Support Worker

Bower Healthcare

We are seeking experienced workers to provide ongoing support services to NDIS clients for various clients in the southern, eastern and inner-western suburbs. Living with behavioural and social needs, our staff support clients with a range of disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, mental health conditions (acute and chronic), intellectual impairment and high intensity physical needs. Longevity is highly important and reliability is needed from staff as clients take time to develop relationships and build trust with people.

To improve working conditions and engage long-term with our staff, we offer permanent part-time roles to eligible applicants (guaranteed minimum hours paid weekly whether you work, or not!).

Your duties may involve prompting with personal care, general support in socialising, guidance with daily living (budgeting, shopping, potentially simple cooking, etc). Services range from short duration, 1.5 - 2 hours, to longer bookings and are at flexible times, including evenings and weekends.

We are particularly in need of staff to cover a multitude of services each Friday at the moment, so if you can only work one day, and Friday’s the day, please get in touch!

Essential requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged, Community or Disability Care (or)
  • Extensive experience working in a similar home care environment
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Manual Handling competency evidence (or willingness to complete an online course)
  • WWCC and NCHRC
  • Late model car available for work
