Are you an experienced financial professional, looking for a challenge in a highly rewarding environment? Marie Stopes International Australia (MSIA) is looking for Regional Finance Advisor on 12 months fixed term contract with with potential to extend thereafter

You will have an eye for detail, a high level of initiative and are looking to apply your financial management skills at an NGO making a huge impact in the lives of women and families in the Asia Pacific.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting support to Marie Stopes International Pacific Asia Country Programs. You will ensure information is accurate and timely and complying with MSI financial processes, policies and accounting standards.

This position will be based at our Head Office in Melbourne with regular travel in the Asia Pacific region.

What we want you to do:

• Review monthly performance and balance sheet reconciliations of country programs and provide guidance on remedial actions
• Preparation of monthly project financial reports and reconciliation of the associated deferred income balances
• Preparation of donor financial reports for regional projects managed by MSIA
• Work with country programs to understand training needs, and ensure all training requirements are met
• Provide regular in-country support and occasional short-term cover for vacant roles in country program finance teams

What we need:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Accounting, Commerce)
• CPA or ICAA member
• A Pro-choice Advocate
