About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Social Support Administration and Rostering Officer to provide administrative assistance and rostering of services in a busy program that supports the social connectedness of older residents through centre based programs and a range of regular short and day bus trips and outings.

You will be responsible for:

• Provision of timely and accurate administration and rostering support and administration functions to ensure the efficiency of the social support and community transport services.
• Providing a high standard of customer service through responding to incoming telephone calls and confirming services as required.
• Entry of accurate and timely documentation, forms, and service data into the client management system.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a rostering and/or administrative field.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate with older people, people with disabilities and their carers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and foster cooperation and assistance in working relationships with others.
• Intermediate competency in the use of various technology systems and tools, including Microsoft Office suite. Experience using an aged care client management and roster system would be well regarded.
• An understanding of the needs and issues affecting older people, people with disabilities and their carers.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements

• Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
