About the role

The Banyule Community Fund seeks to build and strengthen the Banyule community through charitable giving. The role of the Banyule Community Fund Officer will be:

  • To establish and coordinate the Banyule Community Fund including core administrative services to support all philanthropy relationships
  • To work with internal service units identifying key projects and funding opportunities
  • To develop a comprehensive framework, fund schedule and program in line with Council Policy and Council resolution on the Banyule Community Fund
  • To build and maintain relationships with key external parties, prospective donors and grant recipients
  • To ensure that all donation transactions are dealt with in line with Council’s policy and procedures
  • To establish and develop the Banyule Community Fund (BCF) as a sustainable model.

To be successful you will need

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in fundraising
  • Experience and/or knowledge in working within the philanthropic sector, with funding bodies or in grant management
  • Demonstrated understanding of grants programs including rationale, key criteria and processes
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

  • Salary range $86,182.74 to $93,696.04 pro rata plus super
  • Temporary part time 24 hours per week. April 2022 to April 2026
