Exciting opportunity to join the second largest municipality in Melbourne’s metropolitan west. Located about 20 kms from the central business district, Brimbank City Council is culturally diverse.

We are currently seeking a temporary part-time staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The TAC L2P program assists young people 16-21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain 120 hours of driving experience required to apply for a probationary license, and to become good, safe drivers.

The role

Reporting to the L2P Program Officer, we are seeking an L2P Support Officer who can bring their skills and experience to:

  • Provide ongoing support to Learner Drivers and Volunteer Mentors in the program
  • Manage referrals, intake and follow-up of Learner Drivers in the program
  • Assist with the recruitment, screening and induction of Volunteer Mentors
  • Take part in planning events and promotion of the program
  • Assist in other duties as required to support the TAC L2P Learner Driver Program

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Local government experience is desirable
  • Hold a current full Driver's Licence
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Youth Work or a related area
  • Experience working with young people
  • Enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
