Our newly created Gender Equality Advisor role is an opportunity to join our People and Performance team working across both Corporate and Community based teams to drive the implementation of Council’s Gender Equality Action Plan and Fee from Violence Local Governement Program.

This role will be focused on leading the development and implementation of organisational activity and action plans in regard to diversity and inclusion in our workplace with a primary focus on Gender Equality and diversity.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant demonstrated experience
  • The ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing gender equality and/or primary prevention projects and initiatives.

This role is covered by the Brimbank City Council Enterprise Agreement 8, EA8 2018.

Selection Criteria

  • Desirable: Do you have experience in developing and implementing gender equality and/or primary prevention projects and initiatives
  • Desirable: Do you have qualifications or equivalent experience in gender studies, health promotion, community development, social policy or a related discipline?
