Australia for UNHCR is the UN Refugee Agency’s national partner in Australia, raising awareness and funds to support UNHCR’s global emergency response to humanitarian crises. It achieves this through the generosity of Australian individual donors, trusts, foundations and other organisations who donate to and partner with Australia for UNHCR to support its goals. Established in 2000 as part of a global fundraising network, it has now raised more than $250 million from a broad network of individuals, community and corporate partners.

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Door to Door Fundraising Team Manager, or experienced fundraising Team Leader looking to take the next exciting step in their career, in Australia’s most established In House fundraising program.

As the Melbourne D2D Team Manager your responsibilities will include;

• Driving the growth of the Melbourne D2D fundraising program to achieve objectives and targets
• Motivating team members to achieve and exceed daily and weekly targets
• Lead by example in all aspects of fundraising in the field
• Meeting the individual daily sign up targets prescribed by Australia for UNHCR including, personal pledge rate and pre-debit attrition
• Working with the Campaign Manager to ensure that all team KPI’s are achieved on an ongoing basis
• Monitoring team performance, providing support and additional coaching/training to all team members
• Setting daily/weekly targets for team members as agreed with the Campaign Manager in weekly campaign meetings
• Training new staff on the field, providing additional ‘on the job’ training and identifying any other training needs of team members
• Conducting morning meetings on the field at the commencement of each shift
• Ensuring all team members are briefed on the latest Emergency Response Team/UNHCR developments as communicated by Australia for UNHCR
• Ensuring that all team members are professional advocates for Australia for UNHCR in their appearance and communications with the public

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience working within a face to face fundraising program
• Proven track record exceeding KPIs in a fundraising or sales environment

• Ability to lead and manage fundraising/sales teams

• Positive pro-active mindset and ability to inspire others

• Experience delivering training and coaching to Face to Face fundraisers
