The Regional Manager (Western Region) is the State Director’s delegate in leading and growing all Red Cross activity in the Greater Western region of NSW. Be the public face of the Red Cross movement and position the organisation to thrive in its work in the multiple communities we serve. A detailed knowledge of communities in the region is required along with an in-depth knowledge of community, government, and business networks.
The primary focus of the role is to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services and programs within the region to meet community needs, in collaboration with the Regional Manager Migration Programs, Murray/Riverina and other Program Leads. Current programs include Social Support Services such as Telecross and Telechat; , Community Hubs, Learner Driver, Migration Support and Emergency Services, including drought programs. Red Cross also provides support to people in other areas of NSW through our Justice programs, First Nations Place Based and social support work and other youth and family programs which could be leveraged to develop solutions to meet identified community needs in the Western Region.It is expected the Regional Manager will also work to integrate and support all other Red Cross activity including the work of our Members and our Commercial operations.
The Regional Manager may be asked to undertake interviews with local media, growing the Red Cross’ role in the region is a key responsibility, particularly increasing social impact and growing the number of Red Cross members and volunteers in the region. Extensive prior experience working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities is highly desirable.
Identifying need and developing new service models to contribute to growth in Red Cross Service Delivery in the region is an essential part of the role.
A Working with Vulnerable People check (ACT), Working with Children Check (NSW) and current Australian driver's licence are mandatory requirements for this role.
