Recovery Support Officer

About the role

The Recovery Support Officer works in partnership with the Emergency Services Coordinator – Operations to enable delivery of recovery support to communities impacted by Tasmanian disaster events.

You will develop or maintain Emergency Services operating systems and infrastructure. 

What you will bring

  • A demonstrated team focus
  • Skills or experience relevant to the coordination of volunteers
  • Resilience, thoroughness and reliability in the face of competing work priorities
  • A proven capacity to operate with a high degree of day to day autonomy within a decentralised team environment
  • The ability to build rapport, negotiate and establish positive and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and liaise with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • A Working with Children check is a mandatory requirement for this role
