Position summary 

You will join a team working on a project to support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities to build resilience to disasters. You will work with local government and emergency response agencies within the Rockhampton and Livingstone Shire around engagement with CALD communities before during and after disasters.

What you will bring 

  • Experience working with volunteers/community members
  • Sound technical knowledge and expertise in project work, volunteer management, and/or community resilience
  • Experience supporting communities before, during, or after a disaster
  • Skills with coaching and developing individuals and teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working with children check (Blue Card)
  • Driver licence

Desirable

  • Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Disaster/emergency management experience
