Australian Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation. Our aim is to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in Australia and across our region. Australian Red Cross has a network of over 180 Red Cross Shops through which we are able raise funds to continue to provide assistance to those who need it most.
Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories, and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.
We are looking for enthusiastic Merchandise Sorters to join us in our Distribution Centre and work as part of a great team quality grading, categorising, and packing a large volume of donated and new clothing and accessories. If you have a love of fashion and everything retail then this could the perfect role for you!
The role reports to the Merchandise Sorting Team Leader to ensure a consistent supply of quality merchandise that meets stores requirements.
It’s vital you review our Red Cross COVID-19 and pre-employment requirements here prior to applying.
Be part of one of the largest humanitarian organisations and know that the work contributes to improving outcomes for vulnerable people.
You can access flexible working arrangements and generous salary packaging options that can increase your take home pay by paying certain expenses using pre-tax dollars up to $15,900 a year.
