About the role

The position will be responsible for the coordination for programs such as Save a Mate, which includes the recruitment, training and management of volunteers. The position is also responsible for broader community engagement activities including working closely with the placed-based program at Wallaga Lake village. 

You will use a community development approach to build a sustainable framework for responding to issues affecting vulnerable young people and their families. The position will work to develop and leverage local community networks in order to build community and service provider capacity to address community level issues, while developing and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholder organisations.

You will work in partnership with the local team, developing and maintaining local stakeholder relationships. In addition the role may be required to develop and/or implement new program initiatives in line with state and national priorities.

What you will bring

• Demonstrated facilitation or training/education skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable and at risk individuals and communities.
• Proven ability to be organised and simultaneously coordinate projects
• Sound record management ability.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills.
• Excellent ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
