Australian Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation. Our aim is to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in Australia and across our region.
This position will support Red Cross’ strategic priority of building individual and community resilience to emergency events and disasters. The role will deliver key externally focused projects aimed at engaging people, through a community-led approach, to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
This position will work closely with local government, government agencies, the not-for-profit sector, businesses and community members/groups in delivering the project. In particular, the position will deliver the Climate Ready Communities project, which aims to work with people across South Australia to empower them to understand the risks they face from emergency events, the way in which these are changing because of climate change and what they can do to build their own individual resilience and take action to support others to adapt within in a changing environment.
Be part of one of the largest humanitarian organisations and know that the work that you do will help improve outcomes for vulnerable people at risk. Red Cross offers generous salary packaging benefits and flexible working arrangements.
