Schools Plus is a national charity improving the education outcomes of students facing disadvantage by increasing philanthropic support for their schools. We want to help close the education gap in Australia, by eliminating disadvantage as a factor in student achievement.

We are looking for an experienced outstanding sales/fundraising team administrator with interest in finance and reporting to join our growing team, which is collaborative, friendly and passionate about giving students every opportunity in life.

This is a permanent part time 0.6 FTE role, with flexibility in workdays to either be 3 full days per week or 4/5 short days per week.

About the role

In this role, you will provide high-quality administration support for the donor relations team whilst providing operational management of donor funds movement.

You will:

  • be responsible for end-to-end donations management - processing donations, administration of funds movement within the CRM system (Salesforce) and coordination of funds for distribution
  • administer donor journey process - process invoices/receipts, thank you letters and other donor communications
  • assist in managing donor information and activities in our CRM
  • work effectively with our finance department to capture, track and reconcile donations and payments
  • work closely with our education and finance teams to coordinate funding allocations to schools
  • produce high quality reports on time (e.g., annual donor analysis, monthly dashboard and pipeline, donor lists, etc) for the team and Board
  • support the donor, education and finance teams in building and maintaining reports and dashboards in our CRM
  • be responsible for quality assurance of donor, donations and distributions data
  • help the donor relations team identify potential new donors through research, including oversight of grants portal
  • support fundraising events and donor/school engagement initiatives
  • update process documentation when required
  • support in other tasks, projects and initiatives as directed by your line manager

The successful applicant will have

  • excellent team support, administration and customer service skills
  • experience in accounting/administering donor funding
  • demonstrated experience and confidence using a CRM system (ideally Salesforce) including inputting data, producing reports, managing data segmentation and problem-solving
  • advanced Excel skills essential and experience using other IT systems e.g., Xero, Mailchimp
  • experience in successfully working across various teams/dept
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent relationship building skills
  • high-level attention to detail, organised and can meet deadlines
  • a strong can-do attitude - you’re proactive, driven, friendly, eager to learn, excited by the challenges of a growing organisation and ready to help the team during busy times.
  • passion for the not-for-profit sector and education equity
  • Experience in NFP sector is preferred but not required
