The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) is a Disabled People’s Organisation and a national cross-disability peak, championing the rights of people with disability and enabling them to participate fully in Australian life. The Role

The Co-ordinator – Board & Governance is an important role overseeing effective operation of governance policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with its constitution. The position provides high-level administrative and operations support to board members, manages the schedule of board and committee meetings and arranges for all meeting logistics. The role is a key contact for all board matters and board members as well as maintaining contact with AFDO member organisations.

  • Suitable virtual (remote) office facilities and the flexibility and availability to attend in-person meetings when required
  • Proficient computer literacy

Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.

This position is only available for those who identify as a person with disability as allowed under 'special measures' of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic) or other relevant state legislation.

This is a part-time role for 15 hours per week plus additional days when workload requires.
