At AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism, we have a simple yet sincere goal: to provide early intervention that enables children with autism to live their best lives. It’s how we do it that sets us apart from everybody else.

AEIOU is a profit-for-purpose organisation, established in 2005 to deliver high-quality therapy and care. Our family-centred program meets the Guidelines for Good Practice and supports children with autism to develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.

We are excited to offer experienced professionals the opportunity to join AEIOU in the critical role of Early Intervention Specialists.

The position:

  • Location AEIOU Nathan
  • Permanent part-time (ideally available five days a week)

As an Early Intervention Specialist this is unique opportunity to use your demonstrated early education skills to support young children to develop life-changing skills. Join a team of transdisciplinary therapists and educators to develop your skills in the field of autism-specific early intervention. We will teach you the principles of Behaviour Analysis which will allow you to utilise your skills as an Educator to assist our children to enhance their independence and quality of life.

About you:

  • You are a passionate Early Educator seeking a purposeful and meaningful vocation to make a significant difference in the lives of children with autism.
  • You hold an ACECQA approved Early Childhood Certificate III or above. A Diploma is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Hold a current first aid certificate (HLTAID004) and a current Blue Card

Note: If you do not hold a current ‘Paid Employee Blue Card’ you will need to apply for and have an approved a combined NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and Employee Blue Card before you can commence employment).

Autism-specific experience is desirable; however we will also provide you training and support within the framework of this role.

What we do for you:

  • Hourly rate between $21.50 to $26.55 an hour + superannuation (dependent on qualifications and experience)
