Places You Love (PYL) is an alliance of over 60 national, state, and local groups working together to secure strong new national environment laws that genuinely protect Australia’s natural and cultural heritage and an independent regulator to enforce them.
The core PYL’s organisations are the Australian Conservation Foundation, The Wilderness Society, WWF Australia, Birdlife Australia, Humane Society International, Environmental Justice Australia, and the Environmental Defenders Office NSW (legal advisor). This position is employed by the Australian Conservation Foundation.
You will build momentum and support for positive and far-reaching environment law reform by broadening support for a positive environment law policy agenda amongst a wide range of influential stakeholders, including business, indigenous representative organisations, and unions.
You’re an experienced campaigner with track record of building constructive, lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
You hold existing strategic relationships with business leaders, environment groups and trade unions.
You can rapidly master complex policy and regulatory issues.
You proactively seek out opportunities and relationships to progress your campaign objectives.
