The Position
In this position you will be responsible for developing and executing digital and traditional marketing initiatives to support membership growth targets, reduce member churn, attract customers to AASW’s education services, and increase the profile of social work within allied health and in the community.
Collaborating with teams across AASW, you will communicate value propositions and drive the end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns, activities, collateral, and marketing communications with a member-focused lens.
About the Association
The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is the professional representative body of social workers in Australia, with approximately 17,000 members. The AASW sets the benchmarks for professional education and practice in social work and has a strong voice on matters of social justice, human rights and issues that impact upon the quality of life of all Australians.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include [not limited to] the following:
- Support the Senior Marketing Lead in the development of programs of work delivering brand, marketing, and communications initiatives to enable the achievement of AASW’s organisational objectives
- Design marketing plans to support engagement, renewal, acquisition, event participation and readership of AASW publications
- Deliver marketing campaigns, overseeing the production and implementation of assets, providing direction to suppliers (e.g., graphic design, media agency, creative agency, print supplier)
- Develop, distribute, and measure marketing communications including eDMs and newsletters (AASW uses Account Engagement)
- Identify insights, develop, and implement initiatives harnessing insights to support the building of AASW membership, and the reputation of social work and social workers in Australia
- Liaise with stakeholders to articulate their area’s challenge or opportunity, plan a response, advise on scope, timelines, and process
Key selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated high level experience in Marketing, Communications
- Excellent understanding of marketing, brand management and marketing communication principles
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience creating marketing content for a wide range of purposes, audiences, and channels
- Demonstrated experience optimising initiatives and campaigns based on analytics and insights
- Demonstrated ability to influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual thinking and solution-finding abilities with the ability to embrace ambiguity and use initiative
- Demonstrated experience optimising campaigns based on analytics and insights
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, changeable environment
