<h3><strong>About the program and role</strong></h3>
<p>The CREST program is a state-wide reintegration support service delivered in partnership with Queensland Corrective Services (QCS). ACSO is responsible for delivering CREST support in the South East Queensland (SEQ) region which contains six Male Correctional Facilities and seventeen Community Corrections offices. CREST support is provided in collaboration with the client and focusses on resolving any barriers pertaining to their return to the community in addition to promoting a successful reintegration journey. The CREST service delivery model employs case coordination and an assertive outreach approach to achieve successful outcomes for the people we support. This is achieved by establishing relationships with existing health and community service providers and advocating for the delivery of timely and effective support to CREST clients.</p>
<p>As a Team Leader, you will lead a team of Forensic Case Workers delivering the ACSO CREST program, ensuring transparency of practice is maintained and that the services is achieving targets, meeting KPIs in addition to driving positive client outcomes.</p>
<p>Success as a Team Leader requires you to have strong leadership qualities and a sound understanding of the challenges faced by people exiting custody. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day service delivery of CREST, supervising a medium sized team to ensure quality client outcomes.</p>

<p>Our Community Offender Advice and Treatment Service (COATS) program is a state-wide intake, assessment and referral service that administers both state and commonwealth funded treatment pathways for clients in contact with, or at risk of coming in to contact with, the justice system. COATS provides specialist assessments for clients being considered for, or placed on, community corrections orders that include AOD assess and treat conditions.</p>
<p>Assessments either take place in community or in prison when a client is placed on parole. Our assessors also undertake assessments for the Adult Parole Board (looking at mandated post release treatment) and for the courts (for presentencing purposes). Forensic AOD assessors are responsible for assessing, writing high-quality clinical forensic assessment reports and developing realistic treatment plans for Justice clients across Victoria.</p>
<h3>What we're looking for?</h3>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualification (minimum level of Diploma) in a relevant health-related discipline (e.g., nursing, psychology, social work). Qualifications in fields such as criminology and welfare are considered unrelated for this position.</li>
<li>Minimum of 12 months, full-time equivalent, alcohol and drug work clinical experience delivering a range of treatment interventions in a credible alcohol and drug treatment agency/program.</li>
<li>Certificate IV (minimum) in Alcohol and Drug Work, or currently completing AOD qualification.</li>
<li>Department of Health Clinical Drug Assessor Accreditation (desirable), or ability to obtain once AOD studies are completed (essential).</li>

<p>Our forensic residential programs aim to deliver lifestyle and skills support for clients and support clinical intervention and treatment programs. The support provided involves helping adults who have a disability and an offending background to develop life skills, implementing treatment strategies and facilitating meaningful engagement in activities and opportunities to improve quality of life, reduce the risk of reoffending, and increase opportunities for community reintegration.</p>
<p>The Forensic Residential Worker is a varied role that will require you to adapt to the individual requirements of each clients' needs. In this role you will also be required to maintain case notes and associated administration, establish relationships and build community service networks to support role delivery. The forensic residential facilities require continuous shift work 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, on rostered shifts. These shifts can involve a combination of morning, afternoon and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of shift work, the ability to convey important information to co-workers at the end of each shift, and to work as part of a team is critical.</p>

<p>Our forensic residential programs aim to deliver lifestyle and skills support for clients and support clinical intervention and treatment programs. The support provided involves helping adults who have a disability and an offending background to develop life skills, implementing treatment strategies and facilitating meaningful engagement in activities and opportunities to improve quality of life, reduce the risk of reoffending, and increase opportunities for community reintegration.</p>
<p>The Forensic Residential Worker is a varied role that will require you to adapt to the individual requirements of each clients' needs. In this role you will also be required to maintain case notes and associated administration, establish relationships and build community service networks to support role delivery. The forensic residential facilities require continuous shift work 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, on rostered shifts. These shifts can involve a combination of morning, afternoon and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of shift work, the ability to convey important information to co-workers at the end of each shift, and to work as part of a team is critical.</p>

<p>McCormack Housing (MH) was established by its parent company Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) which was established in 1983 as the Epistle Centre, by ex-offender Stan McCormack to support prisoners to find housing, employment and to stop their offending behaviour. Over 30 years ACSO has grown and diversified to provide life changing support programs for people in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system.</p>
<p>McCormack Housing provides sustainable social housing prioritising people in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system to break the cycle between homelessness and offending. In 2014 ACSO's Board created a new company to build a social housing response for people in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. These individuals are at a higher risk of homelessness due to the additional barrier of their forensic background and poor rental histories. MH directly supports ACSO's Vision - "to build a safe and inclusive community freed of crime and prison".</p>
<h3>About the role</h3>
<p>This position is tasked with supporting the sourcing of safe and stable housing in the community for tenants, in line with the transitional housing program. The Tenancy Officer will work closely with the ACSO ReConnect program, and Corrections Victoria, supporting participants sourcing appropriate housing in the community.</p>
<p>The Tenancy Officer will interact with Real Estate Agents, housing providers, ACSO Reconnect workers, and Corrections Victoria staff and personnel. They will have practical and expert advice available to call upon from a wider team equipped with diverse and specialised skills and experience.</p>
<p>A day in the life of a Housing with Conviction Tenancy Officer involves coordination of tenant intake, assisting with conducting risk assessments of tenancies, managing rental payments and arrears, eviction processes when required, liaising with tenants to find suitable long-term accommodation, developing relationships with real estate agents and housing providers state-wide, and working closely with ACSO ReConnect staff and Corrections Victoria staff. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date tenancy notes on our client management system.</p>

<li>Associate diploma in property/project management or similar, with relevant experience; or</li>
<li>Experience attained through previous appointments, services and/or study of an equivalent level of expertise and/or experience.</li>
