Intellectual Disability Rights Service (IDRS) is a community legal centre and disability advocacy service working to ‘make rights real’ for people with intellectual and other cognitive impairments in NSW through a range of legal and advocacy services. IDRS is looking for 2 Information and IntakeOfficers to fill positions in our community legal centre and our Justice Advocacy Service. See attached position description.
The Community Legal Centre provides legal advice and casework, education and advocacy services for people with intellectual disability. This position will be responsible for reception, taking enquiries and referrals providing information and referral and administrative duties.
The Justice Advocacy Service provides support to people with cognitive impairment in their interactions with police, courts and solicitors when they are a victim or witness or crime or accused of a crime. Justice Advocacy staff are located across NSW.
