About Court Network

Court Network is an independent not-for-profit community organisation that addresses significant barriers faced by many court users in accessing the court system. Our role is complementary to that provided by legal and other services within the courts and tribunals system. The focus of our mission is to attend to the needs of people at court by providing support, information and referrals to other services (family violence, housing, mental health, community legal centres) and by empowering and increasing the confidence of court users to manage the requirements of the courts. In Victoria, the service is delivered by more than 300 volunteers who are trained to provide tailored non-partisan support services in a non-judgemental manner.

Job Purpose

The position is a specialist Family Violence position within the Victorian Court Network program designed to oversee Court Network Family Violence initiatives and to build the sustained capability of volunteers and volunteer managers in quality family violence practice in the law courts.

Key Selection Criteria

The Program Manager will have a commitment to Court Network's philosophy and work collaboratively to promote an atmosphere which is welcoming, non- judgmental and compassionate.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in social work, psychology or other relevant discipline
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in working with women and children affected by family violence in the context of law courts
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Ability to manage change and develop staff professionally
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in current applications and programs eg. Microsoft Office and Windows 10 are essential.
  • Satisfactory Police Check
  • Working with Children Check

Current Victorian Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes
