NTAHC is recruiting a full time Coordinator for our Care and Support Services

NTAHC is the key non-Government organisation working in the area of blood-borne viruses, education and support in the Northern Territory. Our Vision is for the elimination of Blood Borne Virus transmission and for a world that strengthens and sustains people living with Blood Borne Viruses. Our Purpose is to be the community leaders in the eradication of Blood Borne Viruses in the Northern Territory.

Position Aims

To reduce the transmission of blood borne viruses (BBVs) and improve the health and well being of people living with a BBV through case management, education and health promotion.

Selection Criteria

To competently perform in this position, the person needs to possess the following knowledge, skills and experience. Appointment will be based on experience, merit and ability to meet criteria as outlined below.


  1. Qualifications and / or experience in health, social science or related field
  2. Extensive experience in the delivery of high quality case management services
  3. Proven health promotion or community development, with an emphasis on HIV, hepatitis, sexual health or Indigenous health
  4. Demonstrated ability to conduct research and develop, implement and evaluate health promotion or community development programs
  5. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  6. Computer competencies including Microsoft Office
  7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and in developing and maintaining professional networks with clinical stakeholders
  8. Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and coordination, and project management
  9. Willingness to obtain an Ochre Card and undergo a criminal history check
  10. NT Driver’s License


  1. Experience in working with people living with HIV or viral hepatitis
  2. Understanding and knowledge of NTAHCs priority populations and communities and health issues, such as gay men and men who have sex with men; Aboriginal people; Sex Workers; people who inject drugs; Sistagirls and transgender people; people living with a BBV; and people travelling to and from high prevalence countries.
