Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital.
We currently have Allied Health positions available to join our already strong leadership team. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, based at Casey Hospital in Berwick. You may also, at times, be required to assist with Casey EPS and Pakenham ACIS (both based at Casey Hospital). Candidates will be required to work a roster system that may include night shift. You will work intensively to provide leadership and clinical guidance in a multidisciplinary team providing acute assessment, treatment and onward referral to those experiencing an acute mental health issue across the age range. You will require skills which will enable you to liaise closely with a number of community agencies and work closely within the administrative and clinical teams on the site to ensure best practice care is provided.
It works closely with Pakenham ACIS and Casey Emergency Psychiatric Services (ECATT and PACER). Cranbourne Acute Community Intervention Services (ACIS) stream includes the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) and Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HiTH) which provides community based treatment within the Casey/Cardinia region. The service is available seven days a week.
From you we expect a qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with AHPRA. Alternatively you have a degree in Social Work or other qualification making you eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers. Hand in hand with this are your first class interpersonal and problem solving skills. Your experience will also include community based assessment of acute and chronically mentally ill people with a range of disorders.
Monash Health recognises the value of equal employment opportunity and is committed to patient safety and promoting fairness, equity and diversity in the workplace. At Monash Health we are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and work to our six guiding principles.
Preferred candidates will require a clear Police Check and a current Employee Working with Children’s Check prior to any offers of employment being made.
As part of our selection process, you may be invited by email to participate in an on-camera video interview.
