Your Opportunity

In this role you will engage the broader service system and community members to identify, analyse and report on the barriers to access and actions taken  to improve access and inclusion, and building on existing strengths, locate solutions to strengthen  local communities. 

Work with Individuals aged 0 – 65 who are not eligible for the NDIA to access local services within their communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Asset and Community Mapping 
  • Complete baseline of service users experiences
  • Implement partnership framework
  • Map service sector assets to address access and inclusion
  • Identify a quick win within the service sector
  • Service plan recommendations captured
  • Project planning and delivery
  • Measurement of community wellbeing and impact of capacity building plan over time
  • Produce Community Building Plan 

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in community or disability services
  • Knowledge and experience of the community services sector, including in the delivery of services where deep, concentrated and persistent disadvantage exists
  • Experience in service sector engagement and networking
  • Experience in engaging with, and mobilising communities
  • Excellent analytical, networking and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy-excel and Visio
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Lived experience of disability encouraged

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
