Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) is the peak body for specialist family violence services for women and children in Victoria. We are an independent, non-government organisation. Our vision is for a world where women and children and other victim-survivors of family violence can live fulfilled lives, free from fear and violence.

DV Vic is looking for an experienced communications professional to leverage and build on the current momentum and growing awareness in the community about family violence and violence against women who will work to ensure that DV Vic’s communications are effective, targeted and credible. The Communications & Membership Coordinator will develop and implement the DV Vic Communications Strategy in line with the DV Vic Strategic Plan. The role will include providing support to DV Vic’s member services in their communications activities and managing a Customer Relationship Management system.

The Communications & Membership Coordinator will work in collaboration with the whole organisation to:

  • Develop strategies and create content to further DV Vic’s communications objectives
  • Support DV Vic’s work to build on the current political and community momentum for addressing family violence
  • Strengthen the roles of DV Vic and the specialist family violence sector as trusted voices on addressing and preventing family violence
  • Deliver on DV Vic’s Strategic Plan

The successful candidate will have high level communications skills, a comprehensive understanding of family violence and other forms of violence against women and an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly across teams and with different stakeholders.

The Communications Coordinator is a fixed term 0.8 EFT position and DV Vic offers flexible working conditions.
