The City of Cockburn is seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist and encourage our clients to remain independent within their community and make a difference to their lives.
This position is an initial 12 month contract based around the Cockburn area. It involves providing personal care, medication prompts, meal preparations, domestic assistance, social support and respite. You will also be required to assist and implement person centred plans that identify client’s life goals and support clients to engage in community based activities. For the right candidate, this position offers excellent job satisfaction.
A reliable, licensed and insured (comprehensive) vehicle, current drivers licence and a Basic Workplace First Aid Certificate (to be obtained within the first three months) are essential for this position.
Hours: Part –time, must have definite availability for working on Friday, Monday and Wednesday with a 7.30am start time. Availability to work late afternoons will be viewed favourably along with willingness to work flexible hours rostered around the needs of support (may include public holidays, weekends and evenings). Pay: $26.10 to $27.59 hour (dependant on qualifications and experience). Mileage and time between clients is paid.
