The Labourer supports Tradesperson's working within the Works department at Healesville Sanctuary. The key objective of this role is to respond to a varied range of work requests ensuring that standards are set and maintained to a high level. You will be responsible for maintaining on-site assets and infrastructure to ensure property needs and legislative compliance are met, and liaising with the Works Supervisor on operational requirements and work requests.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a range of trades, with a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OH&S procedures and work place safety.
  • Proven ability to manage time, multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs, Word and Outlook (or similar).
  • Current Driver's license.
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks as required.
  • Ability to operate a range of machinery.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills in developing and maintaining harmonious productive relationships.
  • Planning skills to deal with conflicting priorities, time frames and realistic customer expectations.
