Zero Emissions Noosa Inc (ZEN) is a leading community based not for profit in Noosa, Queensland.

Zero Emissions Noosa Inc. (ZEN) is seeking Expressions of Interest from people with the passion, skills and enthusiasm to help ZEN Inc. achieve its vision of zero net greenhouse gas emissions in the Noosa region by 2026. We focus on reducing emissions from electricity and transport by advocating for and promoting the use of renewable energy and all types of electric vehicles/sustainable transport solutions.

ZEN Inc. is seeking applications from people who are passionate about being involved with the Noosa community and giving back. An acceptance of human induced climate change is a requirement, prior knowledge or skills in emissions reduction is preferred but not necessary.

ZEN Inc. also seeks to distribute its knowledge and solutions across Australia as they are developed and (after the last two years) is used to working electronically, so interest from applicants outside of the Sunshine Coast is encouraged.

ZEN Inc. is a group of committed volunteer achievers who are focused on creating solutions. For our Board that meets bi-monthly, we are looking for:

• A Secretary and
• Additional board members

You will have a minimum of 4 hours (average) per week to commit to ZEN Inc. and your skill set will ideally include one or more of the following:

• PR/Communications/Media skills, in social media/electronic and print media
• Income Generation/Fundraising/Donor Liaison
• Strategic policy development and implementation
• Volunteer recruitment and management
• Behaviour change/change management
• Marketing, event or media management
• Board governance
• Financial Management
• Operational Management/Administrative/secretarial skills

Board member obligations also include being a member of one of our two action groups, both of which meet monthly:

• ZENe which deals with Electricity related emissions and solutions and
• ZENTAG which works on transport and related solutions

Board members will also be required to join at least one of the Board sub-committees – Governance & Operations, Finance & Fundraising and Communications & Advocacy which meet on an as needs basis.

ZEN Inc operates two websites – zeroemissionsnoosa.com.au and noosaevexpo.com.au as well as Facebook pages for both and these are a good source of information on ZEN Inc.’s activities.
