ABOUT THIS ROLE
YWCA Australia is currently seeking a passionate Team Leader to join our CASY House Team. This role is offered on a part time (36 hours per week) on a maximum term contract ending on 30/06/2023 and is based at CASY House in Rapid Creek.
The Team Leader at CASY House provides guidance and support to a team of Case Workers and Youth Workers in a youth crisis accommodation setting as well as providing client focused case management with young people.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and with linguistic needs.
- High level experience in quality case management, and deliver targeted specialised client services based on individual case management and intervention.
- Ability to undertake a range of administrative duties, including maintaining detailed case notes, records and files.
- Experience in developing cooperative working relationships with external agencies and providers to optimise client service delivery and referral as necessary.
- Understanding of the responsibilities associated with working with all clients including confidentiality, duty of care, mandatory reporting, other relevant legislation and professional conduct.
- Experience providing coaching and mentoring to other staff as required to optimise competent practice.
- Demonstrated experience engaging young people and developing their independent living skills.
- A high level understanding of the complex issues relating to youth homelessness, particularly youth in crisis.
- This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state-based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment
