Salary: SCHADS Award Level 4.1 ($43.08 per hour base rate) + Not For Profit Salary Packaging Benefits

Contract: Full Time Maximum Term Contract ending 11 June 2026 (Parental Leave position)

What You’ll Do

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Case Worker to join our Homelessness Services Team.

The role is responsible for the case management of clients in the Inner City Rapid Response program by:

  • Assisting clients to find or maintain sustainable accommodation suitable for their needs
  • Providing relevant support to clients in areas of need that may be contributing to their ability to maintain stable accommodation
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with service providers to assist in ensuring positive client outcomes

Who You Are

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Welfare or Education or demonstrated experience in a similar field.
  • Previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
  • Proven understanding of the special needs of marginalised people and the ability to effectively support clients with these needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a variety of audiences, including the ability to respond to clients with empathy, sensitivity and understanding.

Successful candidates will need to complete the following pre-employment requirements:

  • National Criminal History Check
  • Valid State-Based Working with Children Permit
