We are currently seeking a Community Homework Tutor to join our Campbelltown team on a casual basis. 

The purpose of the Homework Tutor is to increase literacy and numeracy skills of 20 students ranging from Years three to six. The Homework Tutor is responsible for designing and developing sessions that are creative and inclusive to the eight ways of Aboriginal learning and to personalise learning opportunities for participants, using strengths based practice. 

Selection criteria

  1. Social Welfare or Teaching Qualification (completed or currently obtaining)
  2. Experience in building and delivering targeted learning opportunities 
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the eight Aboriginal ways of learning
  4. Demonstrated experience working with communities experiencing disadvantage
  5. Excellent communication skills    
  6. Sound computer skills
