Transition to Work (TtW) is the Australian Government’s youth specialist employment service that supports young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training. We are in search of an Employment Services specialist to lead our Transition to Work team in Kingaroy, stepping into the role of Business Manager. Your unwavering passion and determination will be instrumental in elevating yourtown's presence in Kingaroy. • Champion and guide our Kingaroy team in exceeding performance expectations, achieving business objectives, and fostering meaningful employer relationships.
• Be at the forefront of expanding our brand's footprint through active community engagement and seizing new business prospects.
• Identify local labour market gaps and craft employer-centric strategies that empower disadvantaged young people to find sustainable employment.
• Excel in reaching targets across service delivery, financial management, contractual compliance, and employer engagement.
• Lead and inspire our multifaceted team, seamlessly transitioning between a strategic and operational focus.

what we are looking for

• You are passionate about what you do. To you this is not just a job, it is your career – a choice that you make every day!
• Extensive experience within Employment Services, with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged young people and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of program contract, systems, KPIS and the ability to drive outcomes.
• Well-developed communication, liaison and networking skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability in leading and managing teams and site resources to achieve set targets and performance objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of youth employment issues including challenges to employment, strategies to overcome challenges and a demonstrated empathy with young people.
