Your Community Health provides a comprehensive range of medical, dental and allied health services and support programs to anyone, through a combination of outreach, client-based and centre-based activities. Our purpose is to enable health, wellbeing and dignity for all people in northern Melbourne by providing responsive and accessible services. We provide priority access to those most at risk of health inequalities and those that may face barriers to accessing traditional health services.

About the role

Your Community Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Client Services Officer to join the Access Team on a part time or full time ongoing basis.

Reporting to Access Lead - Medical Services and supported by a dedicated and fun team, the Client Services Officer will support the intake and delivery of our health and wellbeing services. Working within the medical stream the role will have a focus on supporting General Practice, Specialist Paediatric clinics; and specialty services including but not limited to gender affirming care, lymphoedema and refugee Health. You will also have the opportunity to work across other streams including Oral Health and Allied Health.

Your passion and commitment will see you:

  • Become a trusted point of contact for clients and visitors accessing Your Community Health.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through engagement with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical and client facing staff, students and volunteers.
  • Support the effective and responsive delivery of health and wellbeing services to the community.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Highly developed customer service skills with relevant experience
  • Ability to manage a high volume of telephone calls and/or client-facing interaction.
  • Sound IT skills including capacity to learn relevant Client Management Systems including TrakCare, Best Practice and Titanium
  • A demonstrated understanding of the principles of privacy and confidentiality
  • Highly developed prioritisation and problem solving skills.

Requirements:

The successful candidate's offer of employment will be subject to their ability to provide:

  • a current Working with Children Check (employee only)
  • Police Check with no disclosable outcomes that is no older than 3 months. (Issued by employer at no additional cost to the candidate)
  • Proof of 2 Covid-19 Immunisations and a Booster (3rd dose)
  • NDIS registration *If applicable to the role*
