The Young Workers Centre (YWC) is a one-stop-shop and accredited community legal centre for Victorian workers aged 30 and under who want to learn more about their rights at work, who need assistance in resolving workplace issues or want to campaign for safe and fair jobs.
We are seeking to employ a full-time Director.
Since establishment in 2016 the Young Workers Centre has delivered workplace rights training to over 61,000 young people, recovered more than $2.8 million in compensation for young workers and are proud to have supported young workers to campaign and win wage theft laws and an Apprenticeships Taskforce.
The Young Workers Centre is part of Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC), the peak body for unions in Victoria. It provides industrial support for affiliated unions and runs campaigns to promote the interests of Victorian workers.

This is a full-time position set at Level 8 or 9 (approx. $113,000 – $124,000) of our classification structure, dependent on experience.
Victorian Trades Hall has an Enterprise Agreement with a monthly RDO (in recognition of occasional additional hours) and 12% superannuation.
This position will be based at Victorian Trades Hall in Carlton and will report to the Secretary through the Assistant Secretary.
Some irregular hours, regional and interstate travel will be required in this role.
