We are looking for a Housing Specialist who is keen to develop their professional experience and skills. In this unique role, you’ll be embedded in one of our families’ team to collaboratively deliver solutions for families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
This innovative model builds on YFS’ growing expertise in embedding specialist housing workers within our family support teams. See our report on our Thriving Families Project to find out more about our work on service integration.
This support model requires excellent problem-solving skills, close collaboration with families’ workers and property managers, and the ability to prioritise the needs of clients who often need immediate support.
You will support people not just to find housing, but to sustain tenancies and maintain stable homes. You’ll also build the capability of family support workers, as well as building your own knowledge and experience from a trauma-informed delivery perspective.
