As an Energy Transition Project Officer at Yarra Ranges Council, you will play a pivotal role in steering our organisation toward net zero emissions by 2040. You’ll lead the implementation of our Energy Transition Plan (ETP), driving tangible progress across Council’s operations while embedding sustainability, electrification, and regenerative design principles into our culture and infrastructure.
This is a high-impact role that spans departments and external partnerships, where you’ll coordinate priority projects, craft business cases for future investment, and establish robust governance and reporting frameworks. Your technical expertise and collaborative spirit will be key to influencing change, building internal capability, and making energy transition a shared responsibility across the organisation.
This is a 5 year full-time temporary position (Project Specific Role) (38 hours per week).
This is a Band 6 role with a salary range between $98,432 and $107,292 per annum, plus superannuation.
