Yalari is seeking a Student Support Officer on a permanent part time basis to work with our Yalari scholarship students for 10-15 hours per week.
For nearly two decades, Yalari has been changing the lives of Indigenous children from remote and regional communities, by providing scholarships to Australia’s leading boarding schools.
As of 2023, we proudly support 230 students on their boarding school journey at 20 partner schools, alongside over 500 accomplished alumni who've made their mark across the nation.

Working remotely as part of the Student Support team you will be responsible for providing regular and ongoing support to male scholarship students assigned to the position. Most of your hours will be face to face with students both on and off school campuses where you will encourage and support students to reflect Yalari’s core values and provide educational, social, and emotional support within a framework of increasing independence, relevant to the age of the student.
You will need to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders including parents/ guardians and partner school staff. This position requires some administration including case management, reporting and record keeping, and writing student updates periodically – all of which will be carried out in your home office.
Student Support Officers are integral to the success of the Yalari program. Our independent partner schools perform a vital role in providing opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and understanding, pursue special interests, strive to achieve excellence, and develop social and vocational skills. Having the ability to work closely and effectively with our partner schools while remaining independent is paramount in this role.
